This summer we had eleven interns residing in our Port Washington, Madison, Green Bay, and Fox Valley locations. The interns were immersed in all aspects of insurance including; sales, underwriting, claims, loss prevention, and marketing. Here's what they said about their time at Ansay:

WHAT DID YOU LEARN DURING YOUR TIME AT ANSAY?

I learned that the insurance world is always changing. If you want to be successful and work in the insurance industry you must be able to communicate well with clients and be able to multi-task. – Brooke Hurth

WHAT, IF ANYTHING, STOOD OUT ABOUT ANSAY & ASSOCIATES AS A COMPANY?

The biggest thing that stood out to me about Ansay & Associates as a company was the Ansay values. It was the values of Ansay such as Passion, the Positive “I can do” mentality, professionalism, etc. that drew me to the company and helped me discover what it is I want to follow for a career path. — Madie Jonsrud

WHAT, IF ANYTHING, STOOD OUT ABOUT ANSAY & ASSOCIATES AS A COMPANY?

What stood out about Ansay & Associates as a company are the opportunities given to us to be better employees at the office and in the community. At the office, my supervisors allowed me to coordinate times with one of our producers to get experience meeting with a client. I also got to hear from representatives from Acuity and Secura about the roles within their companies. Outside of the office, I got the chance to spend an entire day volunteering at the Freedom Food Pantry and preparing food for families in need. – Jack Peterson

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE INTERNSHIP AND WHY?

My favorite part of the internship would be coming to work every day and seeing my coworkers. Everyone in the office is very friendly which makes coming to work great! The interns I work with are awesome and we all got along great throughout the summer. Knowing that we would all get to work together throughout the day made coming to work that much more enjoyable! – Jacob Palmerio

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO MISS ABOUT WORKING AT ANSAY & ASSOCIATES?

I am going to miss working with my fellow interns and supervisors. I am also going to miss going out on appointments with producers. – Will Koehler

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO MISS ABOUT WORKING AT ANSAY?

The biggest thing I will miss working at Ansay is the people. The people make the internship. When I first came in, I was welcomed with open arms, and I knew right away that it was going to be a great summer working with these people. If I needed anything or had questions, everyone was willing to help. It didn’t matter if the person was a producer or an account executive they cared about the interns and treated us as family. – Eric Richay

WHAT, IF ANYTHING, STOOD OUT ABOUT ANSAY & ASSOCIATES AS A COMPANY?

The first thing that stood out to me about Ansay & Associates is how much everyone cares about their clients. Every single person I have met within Ansay is willing to go the extra mile for their clients and help them in any way that they can. I think that is such an important aspect in not only the insurance industry but for any business. Everyone makes the client their top priority and is focused on giving them exactly what they need given their situation, not just giving them the same plan as the last person. – Kristyn Arends

WHAT, IF ANYTHING, STOOD OUT ABOUT ANSAY & ASSOCIATES AS A COMPANY?

One thing that stood out to me about Ansay & Associates as a company is that everyone I have talked to genuinely wants to be here and enjoys what they do and who they work with. I always hear from companies that their employees love working there but when you talk to them the most you get is a “yeah it’s alright”. When I talk to employees at Ansay they seem much more enthusiastic and talkative about their jobs.  – Max Tougas

WHAT DID YOU LEARN DURING YOUR TIME AT ANSAY?

I learned a lot about insurance. I did not know much to anything. I learned basic information and basic details about an insurance agency. I learned of all the different roles at an insurance agency, and it takes more than insurance knowledge to succeed.– Olivia Wasserman

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE INTERNSHIP AND WHY?

It is so hard to pick just one favorite experience however, the one part that I keep coming back to was the volunteer day. I enjoyed it so much for so many reasons! The main reason being that almost all the interns were there. Since the internship was open throughout the company there are many other interns in other offices which makes it hard to get to know everyone and have a good time all together. However, at this volunteer event, we were all together and having a good time! We laughed a lot and made some fun memories as we helped build the house for someone in need. It is definitely my favorite part of my internship experience! – Emily Poull

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE INTERNSHIP AND WHY?

During my time at Ansay, I really enjoyed going through the different rotations and learning more about what personal and commercial lines entail. Personal lines was my favorite because I believe that it will help me most in my future, and I was able to learn what I will personally need when I have to get insurance for myself. I also really enjoyed the relationships I was able to make as all of the employees and other interns were very welcoming and made me feel at home. – Maddie Lang
