Mike Ansay

Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Mike Ansay is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ansay & Associates, LLC. In his current role, Mr. Ansay is responsible for developing long-term strategic plans and implementing the mission, vision, and values of the agency to deliver high-quality, customer-focused solutions. Under Mr. Ansay’s direction, Ansay & Associates, LLC is one of the fastest-growing companies in the nation with offices throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, Upper Michigan, and Florida. Ansay & Associates has been recognized as one of the Best and Brightest companies to work for nationwide and is on Insurance Journal's Top 100 P/C Insurance Agencies list. Growing from one office to over 25, Ansay & Associates manages the insurance and risk needs of thousands of businesses and individual customers.

Mr. Ansay is also a managing member of Ansay Development Corporation, a leading real estate company, and Ansay International, which imports Luxembourg products to the United States. Mr. Ansay currently serves on the board of directors for the Independent Insurance Agency of Wisconsin, the Bruce Krier Charitable Foundation, and an Advisory Board Member for IRYS Technology. Mr. Ansay has also been appointed Honorary Consul of Luxembourg for Wisconsin by Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mr. Ansay graduated from Marquette University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

Angela Sikowski

Chief Financial Officer

Angela M. Sikowski is the Chief Financial Officer of Ansay & Associates, LLC and President of Anneren Family Holding Co., the parent company overseeing the Ansay family’s insurance and development interests.

Since joining the firm in 2005, Angela has led financial strategy, enterprise resource planning, and IT infrastructure initiatives that have supported the agency’s growth through both organic expansion and mergers and acquisitions. She has played a pivotal role in more than 25 transactions, contributing to due diligence, valuation modeling, post-acquisition integration, and long-term capital planning.

Angela has also been instrumental in scaling the firm’s back-office operations and implementing financial controls that enhance profitability across multiple business lines, including commercial property and casualty, employee benefits, and personal insurance.

She earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and began her career in corporate finance at The Mark Travel Corporation. In 2021, she was named CFO of the Year by the Milwaukee Business Journal.

Erik Mikkelson

Chief Development Officer

Erik Mikkelson is a seasoned insurance professional at Ansay & Associates with 25 years of experience in the industry. Renowned for his exceptional client service and expertise in commercial insurance—particularly within the transportation sector—he serves as a trusted advisor to both individuals and businesses. Erik’s proven track record spans risk management, underwriting, claims management, coverage forms, and technology, reflecting his ability to navigate complex insurance landscapes and deliver tailored, results-driven solutions.

Over the course of his career, Erik has developed and underwritten successful transportation programs, built and scaled niche insurance offerings, and led sales teams to exceed revenue goals. He has leveraged predictive analytics to enhance underwriting accuracy, driven insurance technology initiatives to improve efficiency and user experience, and managed mergers and acquisitions with a focus on seamless integration and maximizing value. With extensive expertise across Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, and Employee Benefits, Erik has also cultivated strong carrier relationships that open doors to growth opportunities and long-term success.

Erik holds a Finance degree from UW–Eau Claire and the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. Dedicated to professional growth, he continues to pursue advanced certifications and education to stay ahead of industry shifts.

Outside of work, Erik enjoys traveling with family and friends, golfing, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers as a season ticket holder. Above all, he values time spent with his wife and their three children.

Nikki Kiss

Chief of Staff & Talent

Nikki Kiss brings energy, strategy, and heart to everything she does. As Chief of Staff & Talent, she’s the behind-the-scenes force helping our people thrive and our big ideas come to life. Whether she’s shaping leadership programs or rolling out new culture initiatives, Nikki keeps us moving forward with purpose.

Before joining the agency, Nikki led INSPIRE Sheboygan County, connecting students and businesses to build a stronger local workforce. She also spent years at UW–Green Bay and Lakeshore Technical College helping students find their paths and realize their potential.

A former Division I swimmer and team captain at UW–Green Bay (go Phoenix!), Nikki knows what it takes to lead with grit and grace. She holds a Master’s in Counseling from Lakeland University and a knack for bringing people together. Around here, she’s our go-to for big-picture thinking, meaningful connections, and the occasional motivational pep talk.

Timothy Rusch

Senior Executive Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions and Sales

Tim Rusch is a Senior Executive Vice President. He specializes in mergers and acquisitions and also lends his expertise to the Senior Executive Committee at Ansay & Associates.

Tim also volunteers his time to coach young employees and help them elevate themselves professionally. He has 42 years of experience in the insurance industry. Before Ansay & Associates, Tim was the Owner and President of Babbitt-Sholund Insurance.

In his leisure time, the Fox Valley native enjoys the outdoors and following all the Wisconsin sports teams.

Alan Neva

Executive Vice President of Commercial Lines and Employee Benefits

Throughout his career, Alan has developed and managed various insurance risk management programs for clients in the manufacturing, construction, and transportation industries. He joined Ansay & Associates in 2013 and has since taken on a leadership role in driving the company's strategic initiatives. As the insurance industry continually evolves, he works closely with his colleagues and the senior leadership team at Ansay & Associates to ensure that the company stays ahead of the curve by providing the most up-to-date and comprehensive risk management services to current and prospective clients.

Alan has earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois Chicago College of Business and an Executive MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Lubar School of Business. He believes that education is a never-ending journey and the best investment a person can make in themselves.

When Alan is not working, he values his family time with his wife, Rachel, and their sons Graham and Myles. Apart from his professional life, he is an enthusiastic golfer and loves skiing whenever he gets a chance to travel out west. He is a big fan of a variety of sports including college basketball, professional soccer, IndyCar, and sportscar racing.

Heidi Nienow

Executive Vice President of Personal Lines

Heidi Nienow began her insurance career in 1980 and joined Ansay & Associates in 2018. As Executive Vice President of Personal Lines, she works across all lines of coverage, including individual, business, and employee benefits. Known for her caring nature, extensive knowledge, positive attitude, and zest for life, Heidi is dedicated to helping clients protect their families, businesses, and futures.

To her, the Ansay Way means providing the guidance and products necessary to help others achieve their American dream.

Rachel Ansay

Vice President of Strategy & Operations in Commercial Lines, Personal Lines & Employee Benefits

Rachel Neva is Vice President of Operations at Ansay & Associates, with more than 12 years of experience leading strategy, marketing, and business development in the insurance industry. She has been instrumental in driving agency growth, spearheading digital transformation, and aligning operations and sales to meet evolving client and market demands.

Previously, Rachel served as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, where she introduced new customer experience standards, implemented automation tools to close workflow gaps, and created niche market programs to generate new revenue streams. She also supported the agency’s M&A committee, overseeing integration efforts to ensure smooth transitions for acquired companies. Earlier in her career, as Director of Brand Marketing and Business Development, she led brand awareness initiatives, designed sales development programs, and expanded career training and internship opportunities.

Rachel began her career in marketing and client services as an Account Executive at BVK. She holds a B.A. in Advertising from Marquette University and a Certificate in Digital Marketing Strategies from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, along with Wisconsin insurance licenses in Health, Property, and Casualty.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys walking, cooking, and spending time with her husband, Alan, and their two boys, Graham and Myles.
