A unique insurance opening, The Employee Benefits Account Executive position can play to your strengths in client service or sales, depending on which combination best suits you - especially in the Madison, Wisconsin market! The key is balance since the #1 requirement is a high level of client engagement. Right away you’ll assume a book of business that’s important to the agency’s bottom line and to the connectivity with the P&C group.

The Important Role You Play as Benefits Account Executive

  • Relationship Management- Manage and maintain client relationship. Be client facing- visit with them on-site to conduct mid-year reviews and renewal planning.
  • Keep the Process Moving- Walk accounts through the transition process to set up new accounts, cultivate insurance carrier relationships, prepare proposals and arrange internal files for accurate policy administration.

Benefits Insurance and Consulting Experience We Are Looking For:

  1. Strong Group Medical experience. Self-funded plan knowledge is required.
  2. Experience advising clients on health insurance plans, presenting renewals and conducting mid-year reviews.
  3. State life and health insurance license.
  4. The agency wants to maintain a high level of client retention and looks to you for guidance on sales and service strategies, building marketing relationships and work to capture larger accounts.

Group health insurance plan experience in sales, account management or business development is important to qualify for this role.  A knack for working well with clients, seeking out additional ways to bring in revenue and exhibiting team leadership are ways you can contribute immediately and as your career grows. This position is slated for a February 2019 start date, so you have time to transition through the holidays and busy time of year.
