Generate new business sales, maintain and build upon renewal relationships, and provide proactive service and account management to clients.
Prospect and generate new business appointments
Analyze clients' business and develop solutions for insurance needs
Develop strong relationships with clients through advising and offering all of the value added services available through Ansay
Cross-sell opportunities for other departments (Employee Benefits, Personal Lines referrals, etc.)
Study trends and advances in the business and finance industries as well as changes in regulatory activities to keep industry knowledge up to date
Attend and actively participate in agency sales training meetings
Develop and maintain positive relationships with partner insurance carriers
Continuous filling of the Pipeline, and meeting monthly goals associated with the Pipeline
Enter activity and other relevant information into the Applied EPIC system for the service team to process
Continue professional development (i.e., keep current with industry changes, continuous sales training, pursue professional designations, etc.)
Bachelor's degree (from an accredited university) in Business or related field.
Positive “can-do” attitude, possess a passion for insurance, and be a self-starter who regularly demonstrates initiative
Related experience includes previous outside sales experience preferably in the insurance industry
Property & Casualty license
Effective oral and written communication skills
Advanced technology skills including all Microsoft Office products, LinkedIn, Facebook and other relationship/lead building mediums
Team Player who collaborates between departments and works with service/support staff
