Under the direction of the Personal Lines Service Team Leader provide support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and servicing all Personal Lines Accounts.

Essential Functions:

  • With a positive attitude: obtain, maintain, expand and service personal lines accounts

  • Analyze client’s insurance needs and develop solutions

  • Remarketing of accounts as needed for renewals and book conversions

  • Review company issued New and Renewal policies for accuracy in rating, typing, endorsements forms and coverages

  • Cross sell existing books for additional lines of coverages (umbrellas/ higher limits/specific coverages)

  • Handle telephone requests and written miscellaneous correspondence (ex: Client calls, Bank requests)

  • Prepare Auto ID Cards, Evidence of Property, Summary of Insurance, and Binders

  • Obtain information requested by the company underwriters

  • Work with accounting to invoice all premium bearing Agency bill transactions

  • Process cancellations requests

  • Keep up to date on insurance forms and coverage changes through bulletins and circulars

  • Process claims and follow up as needed based on workflow

  • Handle Pre-renewal calls to clients

  • Establish and service personal lines accounts in a manner to eliminate gaps in coverage, thus reducing our E&O exposures

  • Utilize all available technology in a proficient manner. (ie. Agency Management System, Raters, Real-Time and all Microsoft Office Products)

  • Provide prompt, accurate, courteous service to customers, coworkers and company personnel

  • Grow and develop talents and insurance knowledge in conjunction with agency standards to the highest level possible

  • Continue professional development (i.e., keep current with industry changes, continuous training, pursue professional designations, etc.)

Qualifications:        

  • Bachelors degree (from an accredited college) required

  • Previous customer service experience

  • Licensed per state requirements or be willing to obtain license

  • Self-starter, can-do attitude, creative

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • Detailed oriented and solid listening skills

  • Team Player and works well with others
